BLM's Aravaipa Canyon Wilderness

Notice the thick vegetation along the banks of the stream.
Also, notice the water is still brown from a recent flood.



Despite the flood, the banks weren't washed away.



That's because the stream's banks weren't cut up by cattle hooves and the vegetation helping to hold them in place wasn't grazed off.
